BATTERY METER– Indicates the battery level.
- WHISPER ICON – Indicates when the Whisper feature is on.
- KEY LOCK ICON – Indicates KEY LOCK mode is on.
- VOX ICON– Indicates when VOX mode is active.
- NOAA WEATHER (WX) BAND ICON – Indicates when the radio is in Weather Band mode.
- CHANNEL NUMBER– Changes from 1~50 on GMRS band (1~10 on WX band).

GROUP MODE ICON– Indicates when the Group Mode is on.
- VIBRATE ALERT ICON– Indicates when the Vibrate-Alert feature is on.
- SOS SIREN ICON– Indicates the SOS Siren is on.
- TRANSMIT (TX) / RECEIVE (RX) ICON - Indicates radio is transmitting (TX) a signal, or radio is receiving (RX) a transmission.
- TRANSMIT POWER LEVEL ICON - Indicates TX Power setting (H/M/L)
- PRIVACY CODE ICON – Indicates Privacy Code setting (CTCSS/DCS).
- PRIVACY CODE – Indicates Privacy Code selected by user (oF~38/oF~104). It can only be used on Ch 1~22
- POWER/VOLUME KNOB – Turn clockwise to turn the power on and increase the volume level. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease the volume level and turn the power off.
- PTT Button – Press and hold to transmit voice communication.
- Call/Lock button – Press to send a CALL ALERT signal. Press and hold to turn KEY LOCK on/off.
- UP and DOWN / SOS SIREN Buttons - Make adjustments in MENU mode. Press and hold the DOWN button for 5 seconds to activate the SOS Siren function.

Basic Operation
Power On/Off & Volume:
Rotate power/volume knob clockwise to turn on & increase volume, counterclockwise to decrease or turn off.
Transmitting:
Hold PTT, speak clearly 2–3 inches from mic, release to listen.
Receiving:
Release PTT; RX icon appears when receiving a signal.
Menu Navigation
Press MENU repeatedly to cycle through settings, use ▲/▼ to change values, and PTT to save.
Channel Select: Choose channel (1–50)
Privacy Code: Select CTCSS (oF–38) or DCS (oF–104)
VOX: Set sensitivity 1–9 or off
Call Alert: Select tone (CA 1–10)
Vibrate Alert: On/off
Roger Beep: On/off
Silent Operation: On/off
Dual Watch: Monitor two channels at once
Power Level: High, Medium, or Low
NOAA Weather Radio
To Activate: Press WX to enter weather mode.
Scan: Hold ▲ for 5 seconds to scan all NOAA channels.
Weather Alerts: In WX mode, press MENU twice → set AL on/oF.

Press SCAN to sweep channels; stops on activity for 5 seconds.
