Battery Installation & Charging
Installing Batteries
- Compatible with 3 AAA alkaline or rechargeable NiMH battery pack (BATT3R)
- Remove belt clip and battery cover to insert batteries
Charging the Radio
- Use included USB cable or optional desktop charger
- Charging indicator flashes 1–3 bars
- LCD shows "FULL" when charged
- Only use Midland’s NiMH battery pack
Powering On and Volume
- Hold MENU/POWER for 3 seconds to power on/off
- Use ▲/▼ to adjust volume during standby or receiving
Resetting the Radio
- Hold ▲ while turning the radio on to restore factory defaults
Basic Operation
- All radios must be set to the same channel + privacy code for communication
- TX icon appears when talking; RX when receiving
Range Tips
- Use in flat or open areas for maximum range
- Fully charge or replace batteries
- Use Hi Power settings if available
