Power Options
Rechargeable Battery
- Pre-installed 3.7V, 2600mAh Lithium-Ion battery
- Powers all functions of the ER310

USB Charging
- Connect micro USB cable to USB IN port and plug into USB power source
- Charge indicator will light up during charging
- Battery icon on display flashes while charging and becomes steady when full
- Full charge time: approximately 5.5 hours
Solar Charging
- Built-in solar panel charges the internal Li-ion battery
- Position panel in direct sunlight for best results
- Charge indicator will illuminate when solar panel is active
Hand Crank Charging
- Turn crank clockwise or counterclockwise to manually charge the battery
- Ideal for emergencies when other power sources are unavailable
- Cranking for 1 minute provides short-term radio/light usage
AA Battery Backup
- Insert 6 AA batteries into battery compartment (located under the unit)
- Use battery switch to select between Li-ion and AA
- AA batteries not rechargeable by the unit
⚠️ Always set the battery switch to “Li” when using rechargeable battery mode.
Charging External Devices
- Connect USB cable to USB OUT port on the side of the radio
- Plug the other end into your device
- Charging will begin automatically
- ER310 will switch to charge mode and suspend radio functions during external device charging

Using the Radio
Power On/Off
- Press the Power/Band button to turn radio ON
- Hold the same button for 2 seconds to turn radio OFF
Band Selection
- Press Power/Band button to cycle through:
- FM
- AM
- WX (Weather Band)
Tuning Stations
- Use Tune ▲/▼ buttons to select your desired station
- Hold to auto-scan to the next available station
Adjusting Volume
- Use Volume ▲/▼ to increase or decrease the sound level
📡 For best FM and WX reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna and rotate as needed.

Activating Weather Alerts
- Press WX Alert button
- The WX icon will flash on the display when alerts are enabled
- The ER310 will remain in standby mode, listening for alerts
When an Alert Is Received:
- Audible siren sounds
- LED flashlight flashes
- LCD display flashes for 1 minute
- Radio switches to WX channel automatically
- Press any button to cancel alert
ℹ️ Alerts are still received when radio is OFF (unless in charging mode for external devices).
Flashlight & SOS Beacon
- First press: Low brightness mode
- Second press: High brightness
- Third press: SOS beacon (Morse Code: ●●● — — — ●●●)
- Fourth press: OFF
Uses Cree® LED for high-intensity output.
Ultrasonic Dog Whistle
- Hold the flashlight button for ~2 seconds to activate
- Whistle icon appears on screen
- Useful for alerting search and rescue dogs in emergencies
Headphone Use
- Standard 3.5mm headphone jack
- Compatible with mono or stereo headphones
- Mutes built-in speaker when headphones are connected
Digital Clock
- Time is displayed in 12-hour or 24-hour format
- To set the time:
