Q: What is the difference between the SPK100 and the SPK200? 

A: The SPK200 has all the same features as the SPK100 but is also equipped with an automatic noise-cancelling (ANC) feature, as well as a chip that filters transmissions. The ANC has 3 modes: high, medium, and low. The chip learns the transmitter's voice over time and filters out background noise, making it ideal for noisy environments such as tractors and powersport vehicles. 

Q: What are the dimensions of the SPK100 and SPK200s? 

A: The SPK100: (H x W x D): 5 1/8 in x 5 1/16 in x 4 in Weight: 2 lbs. 

The SPK200: (H x W x D): 5 1/8 in x 5 1/16 in x 4 1/2 in Weight: 2.3 lbs.

Q: Are the speakers weatherproof/ waterproof? 

A: The speakers are both IP67. The speakers are completely dustproof and submergible up to 3 feet for up to 30 minutes. 

Q: What radios can I use the SPK speakers with? 

A: Both the SPK100 and the SPK200 utilize a 3.5 mm jack to connect to the radios. They are compatible with all of Midland’s MXT radios, as well as any radio that uses a 3.5 mm jack. 

Q: How are they powered? 

A: The SPK100 is powered by plugging into the radio’s external speaker jack. The SPK200 requires an additional power source, either through the DC Outlet or being spliced into the radio’s power wiring. The SPK200 will come with a splicing kit. 

Q: What is the decibel output of the SPK100 and SPK200s? 

A: Both the SPK100 and SPK200 have a decibel output of about 102-103 dB. 

Q: How long is the 3.5 mm connection cord? 

A: The power connection cord that comes with the SPK100 and SPK200 is 6.5 feet. If additional length is needed, you can use a 3.5 mm extension cord.
