Power and Battery
Q: What type of battery does the ER310PRO use?
A: It uses a 3.7 V 10 000 mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack, which is pre-installed and not user-replaceable.
Q: How long does a full charge last?
A: A fully charged battery provides up to 72 hours of radio playback, depending on volume level and whether lights or the power-bank function are used.
Q: How do I charge the ER310PRO?
A: You can charge it in four ways:
USB-C charging from a wall adapter or computer (6–8 hours for full charge)
Solar panel for maintenance charging in direct sunlight
Hand-crank generator for emergency power
Battery replacement with another Midland-approved pack
Q: Can I replace the battery myself?
A: No - the ER310PRO battery is not user-replaceable. Please reach out to Midland Support for help
Power Bank Function
Q: Can the ER310PRO charge my phone?
A: Yes. Use the USB-A output port (5 V DC @ 2.1 A) and your regular charging cable. A full radio charge can power most smartphones 1–2 times.
Q: Can I use the radio while charging another device?
A: Yes, but battery run time will be reduced. For fastest charging, keep the radio off.
Weather Radio
Q: How do I find my local NOAA weather channel?
A: To identify the correct frequency for your area, visit weather.gov/nwr/stations.
Q: What does Weather Alert Mode do?
A: When enabled, the radio stays in standby and automatically turns on to play NOAA alerts for your region. Hold the Alert button until you see WX flashing on the display. This means your alerts are on.
Q: How many weather channels are available?
A: Seven NOAA channels (162.400 – 162.550 MHz).
Radio Use
Q: How do I switch between AM, FM, and Weather bands?
A: Press the Band button repeatedly to cycle through Bluetooth →AM → FM → WX.
Q: What should I do if reception is weak?
A: Fully extend the telescopic antenna and move the radio near a window or outdoors for best signal.
Flashlight and SOS
Q: How do I operate the flashlight?
A: Press the Flashlight button:
Once = High beam
Twice = Low beam
Three times = SOS beacon (Morse code SOS flash)
Note: The siren will sound 5 seconds after the SOS beacon is activated.
Q: Will the flashlight drain the battery quickly?
A: Continuous high-beam use shortens battery life, so use low beam or turn off when not needed.
Maintenance and Storage
Q: How should I store the ER310PRO?
A: Keep it dry, avoid extreme heat or cold, and recharge every 3–6 months when not in regular use to maintain battery health.
Q: Can I clean the radio with water or solvents?
A: No. Wipe only with a soft, dry cloth.
