DuraComm® LPX-14 FAQs

These FAQs will answer questions about how to pair the DuraComm LPX-14 with Midland's MicroMobile radios.

Q: How do I connect my MXT500 to the LPX-14?

A: The MXT500 comes with everything you need. Insert the red (positive) wire into the +V terminal and the black (negative) wire in the -V terminal.

Q: How do I connect my MXT105, MXT115, MXT275 with DC plug into the LPX-14?

A:

1. Cut the DC plug off with wire cutters. This is the 12-accessory (cigarette lighter) plug. Strip about 1/4" of insulation from the cut wire ends
2. Insert stripped end of the red (positive) wire into the +V terminal and the black (negative) wire into the -V side of the removable terminal block of the LPX-14
3. Turn the screws on the terminal block clockwise to securely clamp the wires in place. Ensure there is no exposed bare wire.
4. Plug the terminal block into the mating terminal block on the LPX-14

Q: How do I connect my MXT575 to the LPX-14?

A: 

1. Using wire cutters, cut the ring connectors off the power cord. Strip about 1/4: of insulation from the cut wire ends.
2. Insert stripped end of the red (positive) wire into the +V terminal and the black (negative) wire into the -V side of the removable terminal block of the LPX-14
3. Turn the screws on the terminal block clockwise to securely clamp the wires in place. Ensure there is no exposed bare wire.
4. Plug the power cable into the mating connector on the radio pigtail cable

Q: What do I do if I plug in the AC plug to the AC outlet of proper voltage and the indicator light does not illuminate?

A: Recheck the equipment installation, hook-up polarity, and the AC outlet
