How to Program Your WR120 - Video and Instructions

Although your radio is primarily powered by the A/C power from the outlet, make sure to also install three brand-new AA batteries in your radio. In the event of a power outage, you'll want your NOAA weather radio to have a backup power source.

The video below will show you how to program your WR120:

1. Place 3 AA batteries (not included) into the compartment on the underside of the radio. (Note: batteries are important because they provide emergency power for the radio in case of a power outage)
2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard house outlet. Plug the other end of the adapter into the DC jack on the back of the radio
3. Pull the antenna out and extend to its full length
4. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position
5. When using for the first time WELCOME will be displayed
6. To SET LANGUAGE press the SELECT button then:
   1. Choose your language by pressing up or down arrow, then press SELECT
7. To SET LOCATION press the SELECT button then:
   1. Choose location type SINGLE to select a single S.A.M.E. code. You can also choose MULTIPLE or ANY - read more about that here. 
   2. SAME 01 will be displayed. Press SELECT
   3. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to choose the correct country. Once you have selected your country, press SELECT
   4. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to find your State and press SELECT.
   5. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to find your County and press SELECT
8. If you choose SINGLE for your location, you will be asked to input the time.
   1. When SET TIME is displayed on the screen, press SELECT to set the time. The display will show SETTING HOUR. Press the up or down buttons to set the hour then press the right button to toggle to setting the minutes. After setting the minutes, press SELECT.
9. To SET CHANNEL press the SELECT button then:
   1. Tune the channel to the desired and most clear broadcast by using the up or down arrows (Go to this website to find the code for your local transmitter)
10. Adjust volume by using the VOLUME UP or DOWN button.
11. To complete setup press the SELECT button.
